Hey ppl,

I rent an apartment in a complex where most are condos. Currently, all of the balconies in the complex are being renovated. Our turn is coming up, and the renovation time is supposed to be about 6 weeks.

We have lots of plants, as well as tables and chairs, currently, which will need to be moved (obviously). Other than that, renovation will only be done on the outside, and we will be here through the process.

Generally speaking, would a landlord provide accomodations for storing this stuff during the renovation? We dont have a lot of space inside, and it will be somewhat of an inconvenience. And for what its worth, im only asking out of curiosity, and its not the end of the world to keep the stuff inside. We're great tenants, and i dont plan on taking any extreme action, but would like to know what's reasonable.

Note: i did inquire with the landlord about some type of on site storage, and they said no.

Appreciate the guidance!

My hunch is that you need to just find space for it, but I'd ask on a landlord-tenant legal-advice forum such as this one: forum [dot] freeadvice [dot] com [slash] landlord-tenant-issues-42
