What is Newport like after 7pm? Is it lively or not?

7 p.m.? People are just getting home from work. There is some life until maybe 9 or 10 p.m. then it quiets down. Of course there are always some parties who are out all night, but not many except on Friday and Saturday.

The peninsula has some action.
The think about much of coastal Orange County is that we have a good sized surfer population (which includes many of the partiers) that want to catch a few waves early in the AM before they go to work. They tend to pack it in early. It is very rear to see a bar cranking after 11pm.
