It is kind of hard to miss when every person in OC turns and gawks at you because you are with a black person.
I know, I have many friends from the east coast of color, when they come out people always think we work together, because in NO WAY would this diverse of a crowd actually be friends in OC...NO WAY! It just wouldn't happen.
Race conscious is a very good way of putting it, OC is ultra race conscious, worst place I have ever stepped foot in.
Anyway to the Original Poster, congrats on being secure enough in life to hang out with people outside of your own race, believe me not all of California is like OC.

These are the kind of statements that make threads like this so hard to take serious......I mean seriously, EVERY person in the OC??? Really??? Does that include me?? Hyperbole rarely makes an argument more believable.

[quote=Mach50Thunderdart;1425115]There was a thread on this a month or so back, it looks like the Original Poster got banned for it, which sucks.

Yes, OC is a racist county, probably the most racist county in all of California. It is notoriously republican, white and materialistic.
I would agree that OC is racist - but honestly, until you live in Placer County near Sacramento you have no idea what West Coast racism is. I vote Placer County to be the most racist in California.

It is the most un-Californian place in Cali. I like to call it the "axis of evil". I cannot believe it actually has TV shows promoting its lifestyle.

Nice labeling for those you see as being not like yourself.
maybe you might be what you are accusing others of being?
I don't know, being Asian and when I go somewhere in S. Central or E.LA and have people give me a second look, I just check to see if my fly's open. I should've given it a second thought......Damn them racists to even notice me!

Yes, it was a Republican (not really) Mayor of a predominantly Republican city (not really) that wanted to keep it "Chocolate". Can you imagine a "real" Republican saying keeping anything "lily white" and getting away with it?

Just one observation.
I was sitting at the bar at John Wayne airport (SNA) yesterday before my flight back to DEN. In comes this foxy black lady around maybe early 40s. Having read many of the OC posts over the past couple of months, I deliberately watched the eyes and crowd and vibe and dynamic of the mostly white folks. (I know, airport crowds are not necessarily representative of a community.)
My impression was this lady was treated totally perfect. The cocktail lady and the person or two sitting near her were really cool.
Bottom line: Regardless of whatever...Tight butts drive me nuts!

^^^you know, Charles, I was going to make a similar comment earlier in this thread. That is, most of the guys I know will admire (trying to be PC here for a moment ) any "hot" woman no matter what the race. If this guy's girl was truly "hot" as he described, I'd be very surprised that any guy would look at him the way he described...unless they were wondering how HE landed HER!

I agree, Orange County seems quite racist. It's like one big vile middle/upper middle class trailer park. As a white person, I can never ever understand how someone can feel they are of a "superior color."

Sweetie, you and you're friends are lower-class, peasant nobodies.
Please come to a "SOMEBODY" place, perhaps Paris or New York and let's see how "perfected" you are. I guarantee that you would be laughed out of town.

I agree with "other people of color that dont like people of other colors".
However, with your statement that is bolded is a little misleading!
You see, its like this. Its not the other colored people who,
a) Slaughtered Native Indians to have the right to live here.
b) Enslaved black people so they can play "master and servants".
c) Wore white suits and silly white masks to cover themselves and went by the organisation called the "KKK".
etc etc etc etc etc etc...................
Its not that theres more whites but the attrocities it has inflicted upon the powerless and that are non whites, that MAKES you stick out!!
Edit. Nope i didnt mean this as some sort of flaim bate, just giving reasons why other people of color take it to heart when their on the recieving end.
