Looks wonderful there
But 2 things keep me from moving to California
1. No snow
2. (Biggest reason not to move to California) Santa Ana Winds

Why be afraid of Santa Ana Winds? They are a rare, yet powerful feature that only happens a few times a year. It isn't like Chicago as the "Windy City". California also has lots of snow in its mountain regions and the benefit is here you have actual places to ski since the land isn't flat. If it is going to snow, you might as well be able to ski it.

I like the idea of being to choose when I experience the snow, so sign me up As I typed that last bit, we have a winter weather advisory. I hope that is one of the very last times I have to ever hear or read that phrase again! LOL, working to be in OC or San Diego by end of 2008

Well, I would say this is snow, what about you?

(Posted earlier on this thread)
It's great to be able to go to the beach early in the morning like the surfers do, then as they catch a wave, look straight ahead and see snow covered mountains.

Well, that is Saddleback Mountain behind Mission Viejo and snow is an extremely rare event. That is part of what makes this photo so beautiful and unique. The mountains that you can actually ski on are the San Bernardino Mountains at Big Bear Ski Resorts above Los Angeles and Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort (6 hours away). If you just want to play in the snow, you can go to San Jacinto Mountain above Palm Springs which gets it on occasion.

Yeah I know it's rare to have it there, but I'm just saying that it's possible and it's great that we don't get too much of it too often like some cities out in the Mid-West that border Lake Michigan and have funny accents and think they're better than LA that we won't name.
If you don't understand..I meant Chicago. I can't stand that place.
