My family will be relocating to the Lake Forest area and we are looking for a Christian school for our daughters, one is going to Kindergarten and the other to Gr 3. Our criteria for a Christian school are:
- within 20mins drive from Lake Forest
- strong academics
- good christian environment
- well managed finances (we know of some private schools that do not have a good hold on their finances)

We have looked at Grace Christian, Mission Viejo Christian School and Abiding Savior Lutheran School. We have looked at greatschool.org for reviews, but most are dated. I would appreciate any guidance on these schools or any other school we should consider.

Thank you.

Ironically my son will be entering Abiding Savior Lutheran Kindergarden this Fall and my daughter will be in her second year of preschool. We are finishing up our first year at school here and have been very happy/pleased with the teachers, curriculum and in what he has learned. Positive experience all around. My son is writing his name, sentences, doing math and they have art and Spanish Programs which we have been very happy with. He's got a great class and good parents/Moms I have met through his class. The two kindergarden teachers I have heard great things about as well. My only negatives about the school are 1) location and 2) there isn't alot of grass at the school/dirt/garden like I know friends similiar private schools have. Other questions, email me direct and glad to answer any.

@Stone007 Thank you for sharing your experience. Short of being there, nothing beats hearing from someone who has had a personal experience.

Did you look at other schools? If so, what made you choose ASLS?
