Just having moved here recently, I haven't made it over to these two cities yet to find out what's interesting, unless you count the South Coast Plaza. Are there any good places for a somewhat young, white single guy to go for a night out in these two cities? Looking for a bar with a TV so I can go out alone.

The Playground in Downtown Santa Ana is open late and pretty popular. Not sure if it has a TV, but I'm pretty sure they serve drinks. Great food.

If you want a sportsbar type place, Wingnuts in Costa Mesa(Harbor and Baker?) is pretty good. Tons of TVs

Goat Hill Tavern. Best dive bar in OC.
Blackies on the Beach (Newport Peninsula is also a favorite)

Brix in HB (Sunset Beach) is awesome, albiet a bit pricey.

I was coming on here to say you have to check out Goat Hill, just so you can say you've been there!

I was in Goat Hill before, once but just to poke my head in so I don't remember much. Do they have TVs at the bar where you can just go in alone and be entertained by the TV if the bartenders are too busy to talk to?
