Default South Coast Metro

I have been looking at Condos in the South Coast Metro area ( Lakeshore Condos (corner S Fairview/Segestrom). I just want to know if this is in the better part of Santa Ana and if anyone has any good/bad experiences with this Complex in particular. I have driven by the Complex, seems well kept and quiet but when I check crime-mapping, it shows area is not good.. Any advise would be helpful.

I have some friends living in that area, they like it a lot.

One problem with crime mapping when you are near a mall is you get all of the incidents of shoplifint and car break ins at the mall. those happen at malls no matter where located. They do not really impact residents, but they have a huge impact on the crime statistics. Also just a bit north and west of that area is one of the worse areas of Santa Ana. If crime in that area is factorered into your statistics, you are getting a skewed viewpoint.

Best bet is check with people living there. Just walk around and ask them.

I never mention typos and the like on City data- it is city data after all, why do you need to proofread? However I have a couple of pet peeves that are not proofreading, but misuse of words, maybe I should just put it at the bottom of all posts like a signature saying that I see some people have:

"1. A lot is two words, never one. 2. Advise is a verb, advice is the noun." I can advise you, but I can only give you advice, not advise. (probably should add # 3. Never take me too seriously.).

Smile Follow up to Lakeshore Condos

Hello.. I'm curious to know if you ended up moving into the complex of Lakeshore condos in Santa Ana. I'm considering renting out a place there in the same complex but am also unsure of the area since its surrounded by industrial buildings. I'm a single female living alone and safety is very important.

Thanks got any info!!!

Yes I did move to Lakeshore condos in December. So far so good, I love the location, close to lots of restaurants and shopping. The complex is nice and quiet. I heard from neighbours the HOA manager is a B***ch but as long as you keep minimal interactions, you are ok. I am liking it so far.

I live in Santa Ana, near Fairview and Sunflower, and I would make the shift up to Segerstrom. It's really not that bad. For the most part you are talking vehicle break ins/thefts for easily stolen (read: older) vehicles.
