Well, I spent 8 years in Minnesota, and I live in Colorado now, so I know about cold, haha.

I always go swimming around San Diego when I visit in May and it's not that bad at places like La Jolla(while that's a little further south than Crystal Cove), so how much colder is it along the Orange County Coast?

Though I grew up in Santa Cruz jumping off the rocks for an occasional swim in the summer and now live in Oregon where the coastal water is really freakin' cold. Like you stick your foot in the water for about 15 seconds and you have a chill up your spine except for the warmest of days...

When we first moved here, we went swimming at Laguna Beach in April. It was pretty cold, but doable. Go for it.
