Yeah, there is a national racist conspiracy behind every door in white America.

Re: Lake Forest vs. El Toro

It was the majority vote of those living in the Lake Forest subdivision.

Don't you know, Foothill Ranch is part of the city of Lake Forest but they have their own zip code and no doubt think of themselves as distinct from their lowland brethren south of the toll road? The players change, but the game remains the same.

I say classism for sure.

I imagine that if underground living ever came into vogue in the area the folks partaking of that lifestyle would find a way (and use a name) to distinguish themselves from those living above ground by other methods than just BEING.

That was supposed to read "an Indian".

We knew it as El Toro and still call it El Toro. Official name or not, the post office does not reject any mail that addresses the city as El Toro instead of Lake Forest. Same difference.

If you get the zip code right, you can pretty much call it whatever you want.

Lake Forest is a better name for that city.

BTW, I wonder if the name change had anything to do with Lake Forest, Illinois...another upper class city.
