my wife and i feel in love with HB (seacliff country club) and irvine (woodbury, portola and turtle).
each city has its pros and its cons as with any city but we would like to hear any opinions on the two or a out right comparison.
we dont know if we will have kids or not so this is a factor but not the most important
we tend to like having alot of new stores, nice restaurants and things at our fingertips (we are not lazy but like convenience).
how would you compare these two cities (areas) ?
any info would greatly be appreciated
thanks !!!

Well, Seacliff is one of the most desirable complexes in HB. It's right next to Ralphs/Albertsons, Surf Shop, Greek Food, Fast food, the schools, and is walking distance to the beach. I would love to live there.

I think Irvine is safer and more suburban. HB is more lively.

HB has the more casual beach atmosphere. Irvine is more about nice homes, furnishings, and stores.

It would take you twice as long from Irvine to Commerce as from HB to Commerce.. SeaCliff is closest to 5Points and Bella Terra, and maybe 20 minutes from South Coast Plaza.. but the beach is within walking distance. There is also a lot of atmosphere downtown HB, since there is some history there.. Its a personal choice..
