I go by there often and I know a few people that live in there but I have not seen their houses. I do know that some of the homes overlook the yard of the prison at the Seal Beach Police Station ,which is right next door to Heron Point. It is well known that it is built on a burial ground.
My husband is in the mortgage industry and knows that there are 7 homes in foreclosure in there right now so it may be the right time to look if you are interested. To me they were totally overpriced for the amount of yard you got but that is only one person's opinion.

thank you for the info
yes, i heard the thing about the burial ground also
on another note, i also agree that they were way overpriced, i think from 1.6-2.2mil and your backyard has views of the oil machines along that area.
7 homes in foreclosure, wow, time for my wife and i to look into that
thanks
gino

I was amazed when the project started and a big billboard facing Seal Beach Blvd announced "From the low 1,000,000's". They did not even have tile roofs.. they were asphalt/composition shingles. You had to pay extra for a decent roof.

The subdivision name is Heron Pointe, not Point. The extra "e" is supposed to give it class, I suppose.

I bought an unrated 5% long term muni bond that Seal Beach issued to pay for Heron Pointe community facilities infrastructure, figuring it was a safe bet. They are still paying interest. I have my fingers crossed. A rather long but narrow and steep park called Gum Grove separates Heron Pointe from the older homes on The Hill, closer to the beach. The city has left it undeveloped, with just a dirt path (closed to cars) going through. Not even a picnic table. It was a nicer and more accessible park before the homes were built.
