Anyone know when the Bane Canyon Road entrance to Chino Hills SP will open? It's been under construction for over a year and I can't find reliable info on the park website. I tried going 6 months ago. Closed. Tried going last week. Closed. Will it ever open again?

Isn't there a entrance off 71 and Euclid off ramp?

Not sure where that Euclid off ramp is. The entrance that I have tried a couple of times (with no success due to construction) is off the Soquel Canyon parkway exit. You go a mile or so west on Soquel Canyon, left on Elinvar, and the entrance to Bane Canyon Road is right there. It's a good four mile drive to most of the park's trailheads. Parking my car there would add 8 miles to any hike. Too much for my kids. Hopefully it opens soon.

Specifically, you follow Elinvar (weird name for a street) up to 4721 Sapphire Rd., which is where the entrance is. You can park outside and walk or bike in for free, otherwise drive in and pay $5.00 per vehicle ($4.00 seniors age 62+). Bane Canyon Rd. leads you up a steep 1/2 mile incline. There are a couple of paths at the top, but most of the more interesting stuff, including parking, is farther in.

Not that most people care, but this entrance as well as a large NE portion of the park lie in San Bernardino County. Orangemen (Orangese? Orangers?) beware.
