Not to mention the fact that there are 116,157 millionaires in OC and not everyone here, even beyond the millionaires, is living hand-to-mouth.

Well I'm fully paid off too, and the post was kind of in jest, but I do think OC has more than its fair share of overleveraged homeowners.

There are few places in the U.S. like in OC where 700k gets you a mediocre home in a so-so neighborhood, so there are affordability problems locally. When you have working class folks in modest places like Anaheim take out giant mortgages it's worrisome, and no margin for error. It's like everyone forgot the last housing bust.

There are a lot of those actually, especially in places like Laguna Beach and Newport/Corona Del Mar/etc.

Actually people that live in Orange County that like to go skiing in Big Bear Lake do have all the cold weather and snow gear.

People who like to go camping in the summer will definitely have insect repellent.
