Do a bit of research with online papers like the one which rhymes with match. Even though it's otherwise not very useful, there is a version for every city, but the content varies little except for listings of local events.

Check your city's website, and that of other OC cities, to get information about happenings.

Determine your own interests, and then go where you are most likely to be able to participate in those activities.

Nothing you listed except the beach is anything to do on a regular basis - more like once a year or maybe a couple times a year kind of thing. Plus it's expensive.

I want to know what to do the rest of the time. Thanks in advance

It is heavily focused on the outdoors here. Perhaps you didn't know but it is especially beautiful in this area. Just a few possibilities: beaches, hikes, coffee, Mexican food, and bike riding. Hell, there are many things to do.

to meet people: Join a club that fits your interests. When I moved here many years ago the first group of people at met were are cyclists and rowers. Artist and Designers came in after I started working full time. This was way before the internet and meetup.com
