HNTINGTON BEACH is close to LA and not a bad area. It has a lot of young adults and a lot going on, but mostly safe. With a young child I would recommend Newport beach if you can afford ( there are some affordable places though ). That is one of the safest areas in OC. Costa Mesa is not a bad area as long as you dont live close to Santa Ana .It is closer to the freeway , if you have to commute to LA every day . The areas around Orange Coast College are nice ( toward newport beach).
good luck!

Hello, Well if you wanna be in a safe area, I doubt you can find a safe area with safe schools in the middle between Culver City and Tustin Because if you did you would end up in an area like Paramount or South Gate. But if you wanna be closer to Culver City you could look in Woodland Hills, Pacific Palosades, Malibu, Agoura Hills, Culver City, Mannhatten Beach, Hermosa Beach, or even some parts of Santa Monica, But Santa Monica is not very Family-Orienteted<---------(did not spell that correctly) Now if your looking to be Closer to Tustin you can choose area's like Lake Forest, Irvine, Tustin Ranch, Ladera Ranch, Mission Viejo Lake, Costa Mesa, or even Santa Ana Heights if you can afford it. But if I were you I would go up a little North to North Orange County you will still be closer to Tustin but not as far to Culver City I would choose community's like Los Alimtos, Rosmoor, La Mirada, Brea, Cypress. For the schools I would go for either Los Alimtos or La Mirada, If you move tp Rosmoor you will still be in the LOS AL district which is wonderful. Hope that helped good luck
