This question has popped up before, but I can't seem to find anyone asking about T-Mobile. My husband and I are considering switching over from Verizon to T-Mobile. I know-- enjoy the dropped calls, right? That's what his friends (and I) are saying, but I'm not sure how true it is. Any T-Mobile customers out there?

My wife has the basic prepaid which gets the best service I have ever seen ironically. I looked into PTel you should too, they are the biggest MVNO for Tmobile, try before you commit

If it makes you feel better in north Tustin VZ had to give me an extender.

I know that in Mission Viejo, T-Mobile works fine.

Thanks for all the input. Still concerned about coverage, but I'll look into PTel if my husband decides to go that route. The switch will be cheaper payments for unlimited data and better customer service, but hopefully, not compromised reception . Thanks.

T-Mobile is great as long as you don't expect to use your phone while inside a building. I had Sprint, which roams on Verizon, then switched to T-Mobile, and then promptly switched back to Sprint.

I've had it for seven years. Part of that time I concurrently had a Verizon work phone, so I have directly compared. There is not much difference around Orange County/ LA. Both data and voice have equal coverage and fast internet. The only exception is Ladera Ranch, where both ATT and TMobile coverage is terrible. I think Verizon is the only good on there.

When you go to more rural areas in CA, like up to Big Bear or out to the desert, Verizon is the best coverage hands down. But unless you do that often, the cost savings of switching is definitely worth it.

I've been a T-Mobile customer for years, and I can assure you that reception on the East and West Coasts is much, much better than in the middle of the desert or the prairie. Ugh.

Thanks for the continued feedback. So far, we are staying with Verizon. Hubby had wanted to go to T-Mobile and try the Google phone (I think?) and get better customer service and unlimited data for less $ than Verizon. I had unlimited data with Verizon, but lost it when my husband upgraded my phone. I really, really miss that plan.

Thanks again.
