OC is NOT racist, some people IN OC might be, that being said if you actively search for racism anywhere you fill find it.

Just like searching for someone else's flaws and/or a reason to not like something.

Of course its a choice. Do you know how many men have slept with women and even had children with them and then later in their lives just became gay? A lot more than you think. I personally know a guy who slept with many girls in high school, was married for 14 years and had three children with his wife. He then ran off with a man he fell in love with at 43 years old. Of course its a choice, what an ignorant comment.

That man was most likely a closeted bisexual. Bisexuals represent the largest portion of *****/lgbtqi people, but are the most closeted due, partially, to stigmas pushed on them both by heterosexuals and gays & lesbians, but also due to their chameleon nature, and many don't feel a need to come out or be outspoken about the way that a gay man or lesbian would. I say this as someone who is bisexual himself and that has read more than my fair share of articles and studies on the subject.

For bisexuals, it is a choice whether we DATE men or women (this gray area is a mean reason why gay/lesbians prefer that bisexuals stay invisible); nonetheless, who they are ATTRACTED to is not a choice. Also, bisexuality (sexuality in general) is more of a spectrum, and there are many that find themselves more attracted to one sex/gender than the other.

Either way, none of this should really matter, as two consensual adults should be able to do as they please, as long as it doesn't involve the harming of others. Bible thumpers have the right to believe whatever they want, but every citizen has the right to lead their private lives without the imposition of other's religion upon them.

BTW, Long Beach would not work for the OP. Long Beach is a very gay friendly city, with a gay candidate currently leading for possible mayor come June 3rd. It is consistently rated as one of the best cities for gay couples and singles. Check it: Most Gay-Friendly Cities | NerdWallet's Money-Saving Tips

I know this is a troll thread, but just needed to add that there is good evidence a significant factor in homosexuality is due to genetics.

Male homosexuality influenced by genes, US study finds - Americas - World - The Independent

I have nothing against gays...anyone who does needs some kinda help.

To the OP, you might want to check out Long Beach. It borders LA county and Orange County and has many African Americans as well as some other cultures, it's a nice mix.
The bible has reference to race:

Book of Genesis: Concerns Noah's drunkenness and the accompanying shameful act committed by his son Ham, the father of Canaan. Having seen his father naked caused punishment, with God striking down burning his son black. The story's original objective was to justify the subjection of the Canaanites to the Israelites, but in later centuries, the narrative was interpreted by some Jews, Christians and Muslims as a curse of, and an explanation for black skin. Other references, with Shem and Japheth covering their father with a cloak while averting their eyes, suggest that the words are taken literally.

It has been pointed out that in 1st millennium Babylonia, looking at another person's genitals was indeed regarded as a serious matter. Other ancient commentators suggested that Ham was guilty of more than what the Bible says, an Aramaic translation of the Bible dating from the first few centuries AD and several other sources had Ham gossiping about his father's drunken disgrace "in the street" (a reading which has a basis in the original Hebrew), so that being held up to public mockery was what had angered Noah; as the Cave of the Centuries (4th century) puts it, "Ham laughed at his father's shame and did not cover it, but laughed aloud and mocked.

Why Did Christians Support Jim Crow?

There were actually two competing camps within American Christianity regarding how to justify slavery. It was in fact one of the great religious debates of the 18th century. The two groups were called the "Polygenists" and the "Monogenists"

The Monogenists ("one origin") claimed that blacks were being enslaved as a punishment by God resulting from the "Curse of Ham" (more correctly, the "Curse of Canaan") in Genesis 9. Monogenist Christians considered blacks to be of the race of "Ham" or "Hamites," and blamed the curse for the color of their skin and their subservient position to whites.

The Polygenists ("many origin") took a harder line and insisted that blacks were not even human beings, but instead a different species of animal... specifically beasts of the fields as created on the 6th day of Creation Week in Genesis.

Neither group doubted black inferiority or the morality of slavery. They just had different Biblical rationale for the belief. Also, whatever their view, they felt justified because the NT gives admonition to those who were slaves - Col. 3:22; Col. 4:1; I Tim. 6:1; Titus 2:9; I Peter 2:18, and then, of course, the Book of Philemon is written by Paul to Philemon addressing his runaway slave, Onesimus. The curse and mark of Cain has also been viewed to be connected with race. There is plenty of scripture as well against the mixing of races: miscegenation.

Eh, both of those seem like very weak interpretations with a lot of stretching to come to those "supposed" race references. The "Polygenists" and "Monogenists" in particular. Those guys just sound like they applied their own personal beliefs and tried to use the bible to justify them (which a lot of kooks do). I appreciate the commentary but I don't think it shows conclusively that blacks were ever considered inferior in the bible simply because of their skin.

LOL. You say that like its a bad thing. South OC and SD also feature some of the most beautiful beaches and safest cities in the country. Head to LA and North OC if you like garbage.

I think you should target the area near where the 605 and 91 freeways meet.. it's a fairly diverse area in OC and LA counties.. it's actually mentioned in greater detail in the "Asians in OC" thread.. Although African Americans are pretty rare in this area, there's a more sizeable community in the cities of La Palma, Cerritos, Lakewood, and Long Beach.
