My family and I are reclocating to Orange County from Long Island over the summer. My husband is working currently in Chino and has a main office in Pacoima. He has no issue commuting up to 50 miles to and from work. He will mainly be driving off peak hours.

We are focusing on Anaheim Hills, Orange and possibly Yorba Linda. We have 3 young children 4, 7 and 11 and we are very much interested in moving to a community with lots of kids and families who are out and about.

Any and all information you can provide about the best areas to focus on for our family will be great. We have a rental budge up to $3500 monthly to work with and want a private update home with hopefully a long term lease.

Thank you!

Id personally go for East Lake Village in Yorba Linda. Beautiful homes and community, very family oriented and friendly. Ive recently seen 3-4 bedroom homes going for under $3k a month.

Chino Hills, Brea, Yorba Linda, Anaheim Hills nd Diamond Bar are all decent communities. (Check out the Lewis Homes Rental Community in Chino Hills - nice, full size Houses for rent).

I'm also a native NYer and lived on Long Island (port Jeff Area) for 5 years before moving to CA. I have always said that Orange County is Long Island with better Weather, Mountains and Palm Trees.

You should have no trouble fitting in.

You'll have to look for decent Pizza (it does exist) Bagels are another story. Just don't complain about it, because you will never get Mexican food like we have here on Long Island
