LOL!! I so know what you mean---was it the Santa Ana one, near the homeles population?
OP - there's always Denny's, but I would hardly call it nice.
Good question for those who need to know.

Norm's, Denny's, maybe Mae's cafe in Westminster or Shorehouse Cafe in Long Beach/Belmont Shore (They're usually 24 hr. places, but I don't know if Mae's or Shorehouse closes for xmas).
Can't think of anything else right now, but I'll brew on it and maybe come up with some more.

Hon, at least you got some answers. We're doing the best we can.
Not many "nice" restaurants open on Xmas.
Maybe call one of your favorite or what you consider 'nice' restaurants - and ask if they know - that's a thought...
good luck

Christmas is a hard one. I remember one year my husband and I (boyfriend at the time) wanted to go out to eat for Christmas. The only other restaurant open besides Denny's or something like Denny's was El Torrito. Now this was in Thousand Oaks, CA. We ate at El Torrito (there is one in Dana Point). I don't think that's what you are looking for though.
As far as nice restaurants go, I truly don't think anything will be open. What about a nice hotel restaurant? Have you called one of them? Maybe because they have guest staying during Christmas one of there restaurants will be open?
Good luck!!! Merry Christmas everyone!!!
