In Woodbridge, you'd have a direct, off-road bike path directly to Blizzard Entertainment.

Not that I play WoW or any of those Blizzard games, but I can't help but notice the Panda character thing in WoW when I go to Fry's. Ughh, come on now Blizzard, a Panda? Get some inspiration in Irvine.

Ok, I've got an employee who lives in Anahiem, takes her 30-35 mins just to get to the tip of Irvine, drive home takes the about the same. I have another employee that lives in Mission Viejo, takes them about 25 mins to get to Irvine, but the drive home takes them 40mins.

Maybe try looking around the toll road (Foothill Ranch, RSM). It is longer in mileage but if you use the toll road, which is never congested, you may find the cost of tolls well worth it. I frequently drive from RSM to the Irvine Spectrum on the toll road and it takes no more than 20 minutes, any time of day. There are also some surface streets from here to there that are good alternative routes (Portola, Sand Canyon, etc.).

RSM is expensive, like $2,100 for 2BR condos.

I despise commutes except predictable ones that are long enough to enjoy audiobooks. Don't underestimate the value of the salubrious benefits of a short commute.

The OP was looking for a 1-bedroom. 1-bd apartments in RSM start around $1250...cheaper than Irvine for sure.
