I have some people in the neighborhood who are constantly shooting fireworks. It is those ones that shoot into the sky and make a huge explosion. They started doing it on Friday and have done it every night since. I can't get an ounce of sleep with this non-sense going on. They even shoot them off at 1 and 2am!!! Can you believe that?

What is the best way to handle this? I don't know which house is shooting them, just the general local. Just call the police or should I do some detective work to see who is shooting them?

Thanks =)

If you know exactly where they are being shot up from you can give your local PD non-emergency number a call. Realistically though, cops might just drive by and call it a day since they normally do not care.

I feel for you, friend. I never had this problem when living in the "ghetto" of Westminster, but I've moved on up to a desirable middle class area and every July 4th it sounds like a war zone. Neighbors in the front and behind...boom, boom, boom. No wonder dogs are scared. My little ones are too! I'm lucky this only happens on the 4th.

I would call the police even if you can't pinpoint where it's coming from. If it's happening every night, it'll happen again, so they can patrol the area and put a stop to it. Maybe even confiscate the stuff.

I say just tough it out for the next couple of days until July 5 when this all should stop.

When considering how dry it's been and how many hillsides we have in my area that are covered in dry brush, I will definitely keep my eyes open and ready to house down my roof.

I had the same issue in Fullerton. The cops didn't care at all & my neighborhood was like a war zone on the 4th all day & on through the night.

Yeah as a kid it was great in Fullerton. We could buy fireworks all over and shoot them off day and night. Now .................................................. .......

Oh yeah well I have the opposite problem here in Irvine, no one is shooting fireworks or even celebrating the 4th of July because everyone is from China, Mexico, India, and Pakistan.
