Ledo1611,

I've been out of SoCal sport fishing theme for a while, plus it depends on your location, what species of fish you'd like to catch, etc. There are landings in San Luis Obisbo, Ventura, Oxnard, Santa Monica, Long Beach, Newport Beach, Dana Points, Oceanside, and San Diego.

What I can refer you is a couple popular websites for SoCal fisherman & women, and recommend you ask them there. I've known many regulars on those sites and we used to fish together. I can recommend the site because they will tell you what they think & recommend charters with good service reputations.

In general, you can not go wrong to go down to San Diego to fish. They can take you into Mexico waters and generally fishing is better. Call or visit these landings

Fisherman's Landing: San Diego, CA Fishing Charters

www.pointlomasportfishing.com

These landings are very professional as they also have multi days fishing trips, the clientele who go on these trip spend big $ and many are from out of town. So they are very aware that service is at the core of their business.

Just for fun, you can see what boat catches what fish here

If you fish out of San Diego, ask them if you need a passport, because a lot of them go into Mexican waters.
