I will NEVER make another positive post on this forum again, these OC residents who live here and comment on city-data are bitter, cranky people who have nothing better to do than bash those who are trying to be positive about the place they live. Its sickening, and I hope non-OC people can see how angry and rude OC'ers really are.

What was that? You said the people in Newport were superificial and fake? Or maybe being real involves being a conceited ********. If you, as you suggested, are similar to many of your neighbors living in Anaheim Hills, I would never want to come near your perfect little neighborhood ever again. Either you are a troll or you need to get off of your high horse buddy.
I understand the intent of your original post, but to do it such a manner that make EVERYONE else seem inferior is not the appropriate way to make your point.

Only you would call beautiful open space with wonderful trees, wildlife, and trails "dirt". Down there in concreteville, you guys have no appreciation for what we value, large lots, great views, and nature. And Coto is close to what you call "Dirt". And Anaheim Hills is not surrounded by bad areas, Yorba Linda (the 5th wealthiest place in the county) is to our north, Villa Park (the wealthiest place in the county) is to our south and we are in the middle of both. Not quite a wedge between Costa Mesa and Santa Ana like Newport or Westminster and Fountain Valley like Huntington.

This thread is the epitome of why people view Orange County as a bad place...the people here are negative and rude to one another. Newport and Anaheim Hills are nice.
Now, like little third graders, lets say nice things.
Anaheim Hills good qualities: Expensive, good schools, natural setting, well-to-do people, family friendly, surrounded by other wealthy areas
Anaheim Hills bad qualities: in a less than desirable city, not close to beach
Newport Beachs good qualities: close to beach, great schools, central location
Newport Beachs bad qualities: overbuilt, rundown at parts, not family friendly, overpriced, not a tree in sight, surrounded by less than desirable areas
Now can we end this stupid discussion because its getting us nowhere. Newport is not better than Anaheim Hills and visa versa. Anaheim Hills has a higher average income than Newport does ( Orange County, CA) but Newport has the location. Anaheim Hills has the bigger houses, but Newport has pricier ones. Anaheim Hills is surrounded by better locations immediately, but not so much if you travel farther, Newport is not surrounded by immediately good areas, but is if you go out farther.
Its over, done. Anaheim Hills will slide down the mountain and a tsunami will wipe away Newport. Its settled then.

Anaheim Hills is one of the most exclusive areas in Orange County. You'll definitely see Kobe Bryant, Dennis Rodman, and Mark McGrath hanging out up there. Oops, thats Newport, huh. I guess Anaheim Hills is a good place to have nice strolls along the hills... with your stroller. And by the way, Newport primarily neighbors Irvine and Costa Mesa. Anaheim Hills neighbors Anaheim, Orange, Yorba Linda, and unincorporated dirt. Please let me know what is one fun thing to do in AH?

Thanks for backing my point. If those near Yorba Regional call themselves 'Anaheim Hills' incorrectly as you state, then those where you live incorrectly call themselves Anaheim Hills since it is just Anaheim as well.
That area of Anaheim is very nice but the people there are no better then the peple across from Yorba regional nor the people in West Anaheim that are active in their community.
I am sure you live in a very nice tract home and I am willing to bet the home owners off of Lakeview and north of Santa Ana Canyon Road think they are better then you since they are in custom homes on custom lots.
Are we seeing the bigger picture yet?

OMG Newport is by far better than Anaheim. Have you ever seen at least a Lamborghini driving down your street where you live or down at the beach. Well here in Newport a BMW, Lexus, benz, etc etc is only considered "ok"

Sarcasm I hope? Seriously I can't believe people care that much about cars. Newport has some pluses but that whole "my car is better than yours" isn't one of them.
One of the best things about Anaheim Hills is that it is realively unknown and people drive Hondas! OMG not a Honda!

I live in East Anaheim (off La Palma and Lakeview) and I dont live in Anaheim Hills. And I was trying to be moderator here, but the Newporters wont give up, they are like little babies except we call you mature adults (its obvious that those who are on those reality shows are your children, they are just as bad as you).
And Anaheim Hills, by the way, is wealthier than Newport Beach is as a whole (south of the 91, the real boundaries of AH). Anaheim Hills average income in 2005 was $157K whereas Newport has $137K average. Anaheim Hills is far from a plot of dirt...what does that make Beverly Hills, or Rancho Santa Fe which are areas nowhere near the beach, dirt too (by the way, those areas have incomes 2 fold Newport). You people need to get your head out of your butts and realize that you are not the kings of Orange County, there are areas that are better than you (not only financially wise, but personality wise).
And who needs Kobe when Anaheim Hills has residents like Adam Kennedy, formerly Arnold Schwartzenegger, Vladamir Gurrerro, and a plethora of other sports stars, business geniuses, and notable millionaires.
Please, just end this stupid thread.
