They want to be sure you can pay the HOA.

Yes. We have relatives there, and they love it.

I'm showing my vegan leanings, but if you're into vegan/vegetarian or just healthy eating, you'll appreciate Mother's Market & Kitchen on Paseo de Valencia in Laguna Woods.

I live in Aliso Viejo, just a few minutes from Laguna Woods, and do most of my shopping at Mother's. I luv their deli, especially the Garlic & Tahini Kale salad. Some of my other favorites are Fresh Kale salad, potato samosa, spring rolls, Hawaiian Chicken (Soy), chili, roasted broccoli, and raw apple pie. I'm getting hungry here.

BTW, Mother's now has a number of locations throughout OC, again, if you're interested.

My Mom's friend lives in Laguna Woods and likes it, but the excessive regulations are a bit ridiculous. There are 2 HOA's I believe?

She moved in next to a curmudgeon and now has to sue the neighbor to get her to pay for her share of the shared air conditioning repair cost.

She has a great view of the Santa Ana mountains.

She lives in a tri/quad plex.
