What are the best hospitals in Orange County? Breast Cancer Centers?

We are planning on moving there as soon as our home sells in Texas. I've been trying to research what I can on the internet regarding hospitals and I see that UCIrvine has a breast cancer center but I'm sure there are others.

Thanks!

UCI is probably the most well regarded major hospital. Hoag is another large hospital in the area

Long Beach Memorial is a great hospital that will probably have what you're looking for as well, but is in Long Beach

Hi Roma

Check out Hoag in Newport Beach. They have a huge cancer center which is excellent. Other hospitals that you might want to check out are Mission Hospital and the Memorial system, in South Orange County it is Saddleback Memorial.

Blessings,

I hope you are not battling this disease!

If you want serious help, and great doctors (because you currently have breast cancer), The City of Hope cannot be beat.

If you are into more preventative care, then Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo is your best bet.

Be well.

I had a friend who had breast cancer. She moved from Riverside to Newport Beach to be near Hoag for her treatments. I assume that means it must be one of the best, otherwise why would someone do that?

Saddleback Hospital in Laguna Hills has a designated "Women's Hospital" area. It is a very large portion of the hospital and they would probably be better than Mission even for breast cancer. Mission is a great hospital and very large, but they don't really specialize in women's care like Saddleback. These are good for prevention.

If you have the disease (and I pray you don't), then the best hospitals in California, especially for cancer are UCLA Medical Center, UC San Francisco Medical Center, City of Hope, Stanford Hospital, and UC San Diego Medical Center. Choose the best hospital possible!

ps - Saint Joseph's hospital in Orange is highly regarded. All of the specialists also tell me that UCLA is the best of the best, but i was not willing to drive to LA for treatment when i was not feeling well. If you dont mind the drive UCLA is the place to go.
