If you think Obama was bad, try now. Having Ben Carson as Secretary of HUD, a man that knows nothing about housing, who is slashing housing programs for the poor and weakening the Agency will make things far worse. Look for that encampment to either grow again or relocate in the near future. Get rid of govt. programs, and pay the price.

Putting and keeping repeat criminals and the mentally ill in institutions was an AWESOME program- lets reinstate that one .... now!
Wonder why the libs like watching these people wander around harming themselves and others in such pitiful condition??? AHH the birthing pains of the upcoming expensive and ineffective government programs....
Give criminals and the mentally ill free stuff and we ALL pay the price..

I love all the doom sayers who say "get rid of the welfare state, pay the price."

Are we not paying a huge price already? One that increases year by year and seems to have no end in sight?

If this is what the trillions of dollars have gotten us, then I'm ready to try something new. I hope Ben Carson succeeds because no one before him has.

We spend more on welfare programs in the country than we do on ANYTHING else in the Federal budget. If you consider the fact that medicare is itself a form of welfare, the picture becomes even more drastic.

The answer isn't "throw money" to fix this particular problem. We've been trying that for 60+ years, it ain't working.

Unfortunately, the graph is a complete fabrication. A fabrication put forth by dishonest person(s). Anybody who has the intelligence to use google can find this out for themselves.

That's what I call progress.

Here's the damage according to the article.

Quote:

215 tons of trash or debris
1,165 pounds of hazardous waste, including human and pet feces
5,115 needles
This is what the ACLU was fighting to keep. Think about that next time they send you an e-mail asking for donations.
