So all of this on my dime. Thanks OC.
They just had a murder and rape at the Santa Ana Civic Center in their homeless camp.

The city just decided that all women would go into a shelter and men would be given motel vouchers.

According to this article, OC Supervisors may not have been exactly truthful in the past about funds that were already available to help the homeless, but now they have to act.

O.C. will spend $70.5 million for permanent housing for homeless; could add temporary homeless shelters in Irvine, Huntington Beach, Laguna Niguel
https://www.ocregister.com/2018/03/1...laguna-niguel/

"Supervisors voted today for Orange County to spend $70.5 million on permanent housing for the homeless, and to add temporary homeless camps in Irvine, and possibly in Huntington Beach and Laguna Niguel.

The decision came at a meeting in which supervisors admitted for the first time that they have failed to spend money that’s been available for homeless housing — at least tens of millions of dollars earmarked for mental health funding. Supervisors said they had been misled by county staff as to what resources were available, though news reports for at least two years have pointed to the availability of the money."

What? Are you talking about the incident on January 3, which had nothing to do with a homeless camp? Please keep your facts straight.

If you read the OC register today then you will see the fleecing of the taxpayers and destruction of a once awesome area of the world begin. 70+ millions of dollars going to to gobbled up by the left wing and things will only get worse because of it- some lucky few will make money and the crime entitlement payoff to the "recipients" will be realized before summer begins. Every ungated neighborhood will find itself at the mercy of the left wing agenda- what happens when they start messing up your community and harming people that you know and love or even strangers? Will you call the police?

Uh no.

This is why it's important for people to keep up to date with current events so they have context and knowledge to be able to discuss an issue.

Exclamation Santa Ana Riverbed Saga: Orange County to create homeless tent cities in Irvine, HB, and Laguna Niguel

Whewwww!

Looks like tent cities in Huntington Beach on Gothard (200 beds), in Laguna Niguel (200 bed) next to City Hall and Irvine (500 beds) at the Great Park as the result of clearing the Santa Ana River bed.

U.S. District Judge David O. Carter also found that the County of Orange has been hiding money that could be used to build Low income housing and assist with mental health.

So this is the compromise.

For all those who were critical of the Santa Ana Riverbed cleaning, possible homeless tent cities are now coming to a city near you.

If you live in any of the following cities: Laguna Niguel, Aliso Viejo, Tustin, Irvine, Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, Huntington Beach and you were critical of the way the Riverbed cleaning was handled, now it's time to see how this works very up close.

My initial hunch is that many of you who live in those cities aren't going to like it so close to home.

The camps are here for sure- what a pity- they could have built nice housing facilities with educational opportunities, sobriety, and health facilities somewhere away from crime and intoxication sources, but, no they want to make a big huge tent mess right next to YOU so the vagrants and mentally ill can still do whatever they want to ruin our lives. I guess we'll find out what the working, taxpaying citizens will endure at their own enormous and inhumane expense.

I'm salivating at the thought of these guys roaming around Suburban South County. Needles all over the place. Feces being dumped in public parks, trails, etc. Not to mention all the stolen bikes, and other property.

Seriously, read my original thread on the Santa Ana Riverbed. Read all the bleeding heart responses.

I wonder if those same people will be so sympathetic now that it's in their own backyards. We will see!
