there is even a Taiwanese noodle/resto house inside South Coast Plaza and the waiting line is just ridiculous. my wife was begging me to try and we did, waited for 3 hrs and when we had our orders, I told my wife there's not much different from a usual Chinese resto

sometimes the hype is not worth it

Hey I never said I don't get it (I actually do), but soup dumplings are more of a side dish to me, not the main course.

Yep, it's the same one!

I just went last week to the new one that opened up not too long ago. It was the only time the line was NOT outside of the door.

But yea, great food. The wait is kind of long (definitely NOT a grab-n-go place imo), but if you have the time, the food is definitely worth it imo. The prices are pretty reasonable as well. Good portion sizes from what I've tried so far.
