Personally, I think this county would be nothing without the amusement parks. All the other stuff just makes it better, but I think our culture centers around those amusement parks.

Even though Orange County is now self sustaining, it would not have the significance it has achieved without its proximity to LA. I think the best example of this is how the Angels now include Los Angeles in their name.

as an outsider, when i hear the words "Orange County" the first thing that comes to my mind is the wealthy people and the extravagant lifestyles of these people. media definately has a lot to do with it.

For every glitzy, plastic, phony baloney bimbo in OC there's 20 normal hard working average Joe dads (like me) driving ten year old cars, paying their bills, helping their kids with homework, brown bagging it, Supercutting it, mowing their own lawn, and buying shoes at Sears.
