That is why I think it annoys me more, since I live in the area. People outside of south Orange County are not going to probably even notice this. Ask most people in the county if they have been to Ladera Ranch, Rancho Santa Margarita, Coto, etc... or other non-freeway bordering cities in South Orange County and they will likely say NO. Most people probably don't even know what the wilderness out there looks like.

When our family first moved to Irvine you practically had to drive to another city to get fast food or shop after 9:00pm. We really liked it. It had a small town feel. When we left in Nov. 2007 one of the reasons that it was so easy to leave was it just was not the place we had grown to love. It is too congested, roads, restaurants, movie theaters, grocery stores, you name it. Where we live in TX will eventually be that way but for now we like it.

When all the open space in south OC is gone it will not be near as nice a place to live. It already feels so over crowded, especially on a nice sunny weekend when you are heading south on the 5 freeway. It is ridiculous! Eventually people will not be willing to live in such a crowded area and they will pack up in droves and leave as we did. The area is beautiful but all the beauty is slowly being sacrificed for more high density housing. Such a shame!
