don't agree with any view

i feel its too difficult now to legally obtain citizenship. i have a friend with a wife who was born in mexico but moved to the US as a toddler. shes now in her late 20s and the government hasnt given her any clear path towards citizenship because her parents brought her into the country illegally. do you blame this person, who was raised and educated in america, blended into society, and has a clear californian accent(read: no accent) for oppressive immigration laws that make it extremely difficult for her to become a citizen because of the way her parents brought her into the country?

the united states is what it is because almost everyone here was an immigrant within the past half dozen to dozen generations or so. should it be so hard for others to get a piece of the american dream? especially ones that contribute to society and have no bad intent from being here?

I am completely and totally against amnesty. Being an American is a priveledge that should NOT be handed out to criminals.

This thread should be moved to the immigration forum. I can already see that it will be nothing more than "flame wars" between posters. It is definitely not appropriate for this forum.

I agree. This isn't an opinion forum, but something to help people moving.

I put it here because it is more for OC than an entire immigration thread. If I were to put it there, it would get lost and the results would not reflect OC residents' opinions. We can keep it civil, we are all big boys and girls arent we?
