Seal Beach is the way to go. Maybe Consider Sunset Beach. Belmont Shore is too close to Long Beach and Long Beach is not a safe area. Belmont is but still to close. Santa Monica Is Dirty and alot of scum lives down there and its next door to venice where the weirdos hang out. If a reccomend anywhere I would Say Seal beach, Sunset beach, or San Clemente but thats far down south its the last city in Orange County then it becomes San Diego County. If you have to live in the LA area i Would Say The Parts of Torrance near PCH or Rendondo Beach!!! But O.C the Way To GO!!!!!!

I profusely apologize for the misspelling of the word beach, while understanding that in southern California this is heresy to disrespect the cult of the sand .
I offer this feeble excuse ... I was drunk and my keyboard is f****d.

I know someone who make less than that and lives with someone in SM. So whats your point??? Did you not read my last 2 posts??? Do you want me to tell you off too??? Leave me alone and don't bother responding to me again. If you want to be helpful, then do it, if not don't waste my or your time! You apparently have no life outside of this board!
We don't mean to bother you. But as the ones who live here, your plans are not very realistic. No, it is not doable. No landlord will rent a studio apartment to 2-4 roommates. It is against regulations. Only so many people are allowed per square feet. I used to live in a studio apartment. No one else was allowed to live there but me. The people who choose to live here rent in a more affordable area and commute to work and school. Or, they get a higher paying job. There is really no other option. You may not refer to this older thread. Hopefully, someone else who reads it may find it a little helpful.

Most landlords won't rent a house or apartment to 4 young women. Men with $ aren't that eager to marry and become sugar daddies. Most young women end up divorced and havie to get a job to support themselves. Where is the $ million you are talking about?

Default possible

My Brother and I lived in San Diego in Pacific Beach for the summer with no car, and we moved there without jobs (though I did some freelance graphic design). We lived a quarter of a mile from the beach, and my brother got a job at Chipotle. So he was 18 without a college education, got a job within walking distance from our apartment and the beach, which included one free meal a day of his favorite food! So it is possible. Just move there and figure it out. We couldn't find a place online before we got there, but right when we got there there were possibilities all around. Good luck!

I also lived in San Francisco for 6 years on less than 1200 a month. Can be done.

Steven

If money were no object and I could work from home (or no longer needed to work) I'd chose either Laguna Beach or Summerland.

Manhattan Beach and/or Hermosa Beach are you're dream towns. Without a doubt. And, in all towns mentioned here, it is EASY to get a 2 bedroom for $900-IF, you have a roommate. Whereby rent is $1800/2 etc.
