OC leading the way to sanity, like always.
I surely wished OC and its cities had followed the lead of Lincoln, CA and stood against the ridiculous SB270 tax rule. Though of course each individual city had to act as well.

I am still confused though by the sanctuary cities thing. As it appears damned if they do damned if they don't as states and cities in the US have no jurisdiction on federal immigration laws.

Also it appears interesting how the balance of power in each part of the state. It doesn't necessary on how many immigrants are in a place. I.e Central Valley and OC may lean GOP even though both places are practically filled with immigrant labours regardless of legal status as well as first second generation immigrants of such people who have citizenship.

Here's the thing, it's NOT ABOUT farm workers or Mexicans at all. The real issue is about enforcing an international border and immigration rules. This is a power specifically given to the Federal government, not the states.

Even if Canadians were crossing over into Seattle without hitting a checkpoint, and just started living here in the U.S, taking a job, enrolling into K-12 schools, what they are doing would still be illegal.

People try to cloud the issue with "it's racist, Mexicans pick all the fruit and veggies", but that's just a distraction.
