Does Orange County still have any modestly priced motels that offer weekly rates? There used to be a lot of them in the 80's. Are they all gone?

Yeah pretty much. Most hotels are no longer cheap. You may find some cheap rate in a bad part of town somewhere but anything decent will cost you

It depends on the week. I know in 2001 I got very nice hotel for $22 a day. Maybe it was from Priceline.

Where in orange county are you planning on staying ? what price range are you looking for ?

Perhaps if the posters have some idea of the area , there could be some helpful accurate information.

You are going to get what you pay for, and that means the quality of comfort, safety, peace and quiet,
and if your car will be there in the morning .

Best chance for low nightly rates might be, Garden Grove, Santa Ana, Stanton,
Westminster, Midway City, etc.

You can check those out on the computer . Others may have a more definitive recomendation
