Hi does anybody know how much it costs to replace a set of keys for a 2007 Audi a4?? Some people are telling me that it costs 200 and some say 500, and I did ask my local audi dealer and they said 600, so I think I am getting ripped off by them. So are there any other places in OC or the LA/LB area that make audi keys for cheaper or other Audi dealers that charge less, I called the dealers in Norwalk and the one in Long Beach, and they both said 600!

Thanks

I would not be surprised if it costs that much if it is one of those electronic keys that you push in and press a start button or something else like that. Those keys can be pretty expensive.

Yeah any key with an RFID tag inside is going to be expensive to replace. I've heard $200 for Honda and Toyota. Of course anything German will be more expensive just because that's how it works.

All of the keys with chips are expensive to replace, mostly labor for reprograming.
It is cheaper if you still have two keys in hand.

I bought a replacement key on ebay for $20 with instructions on programing. A trip to a key shop to copy the cut is only a couple of dollars.
