Talking impulse move / mini-vacation

22 year old man living in south orange county...considering moving for 4-6 months to somewhere cheap, pref with sunny weather. paying $600 in rent right now which is good, but live in apt. complex with a BUNCH of friends so always partying. need time to relax by myself in somewhat quiet neighborhood, but close enough to nightlife when I want to party.

important factors: girls, sunny weather, affordable rent

open to any suggestions! anywhere in US!

Houston TX...sunny hot all the time...extreamly affordable...good looking women with great attitude, the kind that are actually approachable not like the ones here in OC.

I live in Houston, and its not that great. Lots of crime, unless your in the Galleria and those aren't the women you would be looking for. Although there are alot of bars and pubs in Midtown (Which would be a good location to live) I'd suggest Austin, very eclectic, lots of people your age and great party scene.

Unfortunately, I've lived in all of these places at one time in my life. For someone your age, I would say West Palm, Miami or Ft. Lauderdale leaning more towards Ft. Lauderdale or Miami. The only reason I'm hesitant is because I don't remember what rents are like in those two towns.

So I am curious - can you tell us a little about Austin - or is that not allowed on the Orange Co site. I would love to hear about it. Or maybe you can PM me.
