Default Commuting from Garden Grove to Irvine.

This Monday I will have to drive to UCI in order to attend an advising session, they are pretty strict about timing, so I need to make sure that I arrive at 8:30 AM (that leaves me around 30 minutes to walk over the campus and find my room). Is there any suggestion on which route should I take and what time should I start leaving to avoid traffic?

Any help would be great. Thank you!

It depends on where in Garden Grove you are starting from. If you're on the west side, then you can take the 22 West to the 405 South Exit Culver. Make a right on Culver, make a right onto Campus, and then park in the parking structure on the left hand side at Stanford. If you are on the east side of Garden Grove then take the 22 East to the 5 South, to the 55 South to the 405 South, then exit Culver, make right on Culver....same as the first option. Its notoriously difficult to judge the time during rush hour traffic, but I would leave at 7:30-7:45am. If you get there early you can walk around the campus which has some amazing and beautiful architecture. Unfortunately their is no "secret" short cut from where you are coming from.
