What is the best place to grab some food/drink before an Angels game that is somewhat close to the ballpark?

Papa Hassans in downtown Orange. The shawarma is the best food you will ever eat. It is far enough away from the stadium to avoid being swamped by crowds, but close enough for a quick drive to the parking lot.

i would say The Block would be your best bet. It's right off the 22 freeway at City Dr., which turns into State College and goes right by the stadium if you head north.

There are few to choose from within walking distance. Depends where you're parked and seated too. Nationals or JT Schmidts. Hooters is fairly close as well as some others. Check out maps.yahoo.com or google maps.

Denny's, Hooters, El Torito, Carl's Jr., and McDonalds's are across the way on Katella and close to the stadium. JT Schmidts is south of the 57 freeway and closer to the Pond. If you are looking for something more upscale there is Mr. Stox. Other than that there isn't much going on around the Big A. Hopefully that will change in the future with all the new redevelopment going on around the stadium area.
