Default San Clemente to Lake Elsinore best Route?

In the near future I may need to do commute from San Clemente to Lake Elsinore.
What would be the best route? Probably leaving about 7am and returning about 7pm.
Thanks in advance.

ortega hwy (74) is your best bet. will take you from SJC straight to Elsinore

otherwise you're heading south to the 76 to the 15n.. and the 76 has street lights on it.. not goin g to save time that way i dont think

I have 2 daughters that play club soccer and I have to make that treak to Temucla often. 2 Things to think about on Ortega 1 it in Dangerous I have scene alot of crashes,#2 if there is a problem on that road you are through I prefer the toll road you might get your employer to pay for it and you will be going against traffic.

the only toll road i know of is taking the 241 to the 91E(which means you cant get on the 91 toll roads and you hit the terrible traffic in the pass there) to the 15S.

basically ortega will be as close to a straight line as you get. the 241 route is a big detour. its like 70miles vs 40miles(san clemente to elsinore)
