Thanks for the Orange County posts. My DH is considering a job in Huntington Beach. We rent in San Diego East County (off the 8) with kids. Where can we find a quiet family oriented apartment? I was thinking Orange (city of..). We've been in $D for 4 years. We have a great deal on our 3 bedroom 1200 per month apt. ( I know, you cannot find such a steal anymore here) so if they insist that he cannot telecomummute , we will need to find new housing ( ewww...).

You can't even get a 1-BR in Huntington Beach for that price.

Rents in OC for a 3BR will be atleast about $2100. Median home price is $620k(higher than LA and SD).

Every city in OC is family friendly pretty much except for: Garden Grove, Anaheim(parts of), Santa Ana, Westminster(parts of), and Fullerton(small part of).

Orange is pretty nice. Villa Park is extremely nice also. Finding a quiet place in OC is easy. Just avoid the areas around the major malls.
