Hi,

We intend to buy a house in West Garden Grove close to Lampson with Springdale. What you know about this zone, about the schools? I heard that this is the safe side of Garden Grove, that the schools are good (the ranking is good for the schools around), but I want more information’s from people who live there or have more contact with the zone than me.

Thank you.

I actually live right next to West Garden grove and I would suggest looking for homes around lampson and valley view towards to 405 because that side borders los al and seal beach and the neighborhoods are well kept and plus its closer to the Freeway.

lmao that is really funny. If anyone wants to find out where the good and bad parts of OC/LA are, just look at that map. See all that red? You don't want to live there. Santa ana and South LA.

I live in South-East garden grove and yes, it isn't a great place to live. Used to be okay but it became more and more like Santa Ana over time. Avoid. Move as far west as you can. My general idea is that over time Garden Grove will turn into another Santa Ana. Give it 10-20 years.

I grew up off of Holder (which turns into Springdale), and Orangewood, so not too far. I went through the cypress school district, but some of my friends who lived south of Orangewood were W. Garden Grove (and we all played in the W. Garden Grove little league teams). My friends went to Marina, HS (I think Springdale and Lampson)...decent school...though Pootie has a good point that if you can be in the Los Alamitos school district area, those are probably the best schools in that part of town (I transfered to Los Al High instead of Cypress High and had a great experience)
