I have to be treated like a criminal, guilty until proven innocent, even though I didn't even have a drop to drink? I could see how GG wasn't very attractive (although it's still better than where I'm living right by USC). I followed cue with a couple cars in front, flipped a U (the road, I think it was Harbor Blvd, was backed up for at least a 1/4 mile) and hit the 22. I can see how people who live in northern OC want out for something nicer. I just don't think "escape" is a verb that comes to mind when I think of southern OC.

so did you get out of the sobreity check by doing a u turn?

I was happy to find this thread. Up until Thanksgiving 2007, I had a house in "Mesa Verde that isn't really Mesa Verde" or whatever you want to call the neighborhoods on the state streets between Harbor/405/Gisler/Santa Ana river. I have lived in Houston suburbs just over a year now and we really love it here.
I don't miss much, but believe it or not I really miss Marukai, and I also miss Niko Niko, a little further down at Harbor and Wilson. Is L&M gone from the Marukai food court? I don't see its name on the sign there.
And I remember Fedco! haha. and that Golden Garden place, I don't think I've been there in 35 years, but my grandmother used to like eating there. I could swear it was called something else though. Do you remember?
Thanks for the memories!

Man. i just read every part of this thread and it blew me away that people actually like Denver that much. Denver is a traffic nightmare too on the 25 and 70.
Denver and aurora blend into each other.
Hispanics are heavy in Denver proper, but in my experience they are more american than mexican. Most speak english really well.
I don't know how anybody could ever get excited about Denver or aurora.
FORT COLLINS IS FAR FAR FAR BETTER THAN DENVER. LOVELAND TOO. I USED TO LIVE IN FORT COLLINS AND WORK IN DENVER, IT WAS ONLY A 50 MINUTE SHOT DOWN 25 AND TRAFFIC FLYS ALONG JUST FINE. LOVELAND WAS ONLY 40 MINUTES AWAY FROM DENVER.
If i was recommending a place to live if you work in Denver, I would say ,Berthound, loveland, or even golden.
Denver? No way!
