Spent a lot of time in the Huntington Beach area, as well as other areas near. However I live in maryland and am very close to my family. If at one point I wanted to move out there. How hard would it be to find a decent job? I do have a bachelors degree in communications and history, but currently have a blue collar home improvement business. I enjoy doing that kind of stuff, but there is no way i could just transfer the business out there...

none the less, how difficult would it be to find a decent job with those qualifications.

Thanks a lot.

Been looking two months myself, nothing. I am looking for entry-level accounting jobs, might I add (8-12/hr).

How well do the websites like monster and careerbuilder work?
What trades are hiring the most?

Not that great. You don't even get responses from it. Better off applying directly to the business's website.

Yes. It is called roommates and taking the bus. 1bed/1bath goes for 1,200/3 = 400/month. You learn to live with what you have. Then again, I personally, believe it is a waste of time to do that. Why live and work in a place where you spend all your money just trying to pay for the basics? You're just signing up for the, "work till you die." plan.

Yea!!!! Something doesn't add up with that plan...... You'd never make any savings or ever retire in that plan...

not to mention living off instant noodles and 39 cheeseburgers will make you die quick!!!

Is living in OC worth living paycheck to paycheck???

Is it worth it? For some people yes. Personally I am getting out of here once I get out of school. No jobs, high cost of living. There is better places out there.

Retiring in this day and age is considered a luxury for the rich and smart (who know how to save and invest right).

With unemployment damn near 10% people are really feeling the crunch.
