According to the LA times story

"People can still use the beach and the sand; only the ocean is closed,"

What does that mean? I can get a hot dog and play in the sand but not get in the water or use it for sand castles? Why would I want to be in the sand by crap?

No shocker there. To think people pay millions and thousands in rent to live close to the beach.

For all those people who cite california beaches as a reason to live in california I have two words for you - costa rica.

be cautious tew, if making sandcastles, solid poops can easily swim up to you and disguise themselves as slippery seaweed. Also chunkey, crunchy, hairy dried out husks can be old poops just waiting for you to grab them and use them for your sandcastle. laguna beach is dirty.
