Default Common Sense; Pick-Up Trucks = More Republican Area

When I am up in LA or SF, I hardly see any pick-ups. I see a lot of sedans (Honda, Toyotas, luxury sedans). But in OC, there tons of Tundras, Silverados, F250's, Rams, etc... I think it is pretty cool cultural thing. Maybe, OC residents trucks signify what makes us republicans.. hard-working people; (many who work for themselves) who believe in personal responsibility. who believe a dollar earned should be a dollar kept.

You go out into Utah or the country and Arizona and everyone drives a pick-up. San Diego has more pick ups than LA. Sacramento has more pick ups than SF.

Tons of trucks in Bakersfield. Lots of trucks in South County too!

In OC, it seems more an more people are driving pick-ups. we're becoming more republican.

I see a lot of carpenters, and electricians in OC who have moved from the Midwest and Plains move here who drive really nice trucks.

More republican, more trucks...

My sister's family in South OC fits that mold... 2 massive diesel pickups and the 2 kids have a Tahoe and a Subaru SUV.

Except I know my bro-in-law and niece voted for Obama. Not sure about my sister and nephew.

Most people who cannot speak any english and hopped the border..........are DEMOCRATS.......it seems I am seeing more and more of them......so we must be becoming a DEMOCRATIC area.

And BTW.....the wealthy areas of OC (Mercedes, Rolls Royce, etc) are the Republican areas while the crapholes are the Democratic areas. Your dumb thesis does not work. You really think those gardners driving the pickups are Republican?

People who drive trucks tend to be conservative, your right about that one. I have noticed that San Diego is even more into trucks, and has tons of military; at least north county.

Even though I live around Oceanside nearly walking distance from the world's largest marine base, I'm not particularly fond of trucks, guns, military, or Republicans.

No surprise, I voted for Obama; and NO ON 8. I'm surprised that the county went to Obama, its probably the Mexicans your talking about.

Why does it always have to be about politics? Why does it have to be about labeling people? Did you ever think that pick-ups aren't terribly practical in San Francisco or Los Angeles?

I for one, do not see many pick-ups and I live in ORANGE COUNTY.
Dear youngmoney, think before you speak.
Think for a long time.
My whole street there's about 2 pick-ups, and 2 SUV's. The rest are minivans and cars.
