I know the prior owner of this restaurant, a Taiwanese guy. He no longer owns this restaurant. He now runs and owns (which I know is a little ways from Mission Viejo):

There are 2 general menus there-one for non-Chinese people and one for Chiense people (which is printed in Chinese only). On weekends, the place is frequented by Chinese and Taiwanese people who order from the Chinese menu which is quite different from the non-Chinese menu.

My favorite is "Seafood Noodle House" on the corner of Culver and Walnut in Irvine. It's as good as the asian food in Westminster/GG, etc. but without the long drive. It's not mainly seafood, that's just the name. The shopping center is huge but if you find Ralphs grocery store, it's a few units to the left...

Now I have to go try all the other recommendations in this thread...!
