Hello.

I wanted to pick the brains of a few OC residents to get some ideas regarding the visit I plan on making in '09.

I will more than likely be flying out in the late spring than actual summer.

My main areas of interest are:

1. Does anybody rent out rooms for short-term visits, say 1-2 months? (Not hotels or extended-stay)

2. What kind of cost am I looking at for a 1BR if necessary to try and find on a month-to-month lease?

3. Is there any particular area I should search for that will provide me with a good central location, and not a lot of issues with crime, etc?

I really don't require much while I will be out that way. This trip is more or less an opportunity for me to get away from everything here, relax, and take the West Coast in.

Also, I believe in networking and would hope that before I make my trip, I have the opportunity to make a friend or two so that I am not wandering out in that direction alone.

I appreciate in advance any help that can be provided to help me secure the plans for my trip.

Jeff

You can rent beach fron homes/condos for around 1500-4000 per week. There ma besmecutie stay typeplcs atyou can rent monthly. I know that they are putting one together in Santa Ana to target lawyers who are trying cases downtown, but I do not think it is open yet. The Register is your best bet.

Thanks, I will check that out. As soon as the new year hits, the planning goes full tilt. I cannot wait to get out there.
