Default Do the Irvine police department have anything better to do?

I know there's hardly any crime in Irvine. I know that Irvine is one of the safest cities in America. I know that people that live in Irvine are affluent. I know that Irvine is home to one of the UC campus in California. And I know that Irvine has a lucrative tax base because of the Spectrum and restaurants in the area.

But why the hell are the Irvine police department pulling over anybody with just a minor infraction? A broken taillight, old tags, out of state license plates, tinted windows, etc. The other day, my front windows are tinted because I hate having my rear windows tinted, but not my front windows, and a cop from the corrupt Irvine Police Department pulled me over. He causally walked over to my window, taking this donuts eating time and asked my to rolled down my window. He proceeded to explain to me about the laws about having my front windows tinted and that is a violation of California Penal code something something. He told him that there's millions of cars in SoCal that have their windows tinted. He replied that I was unlucky victim and give me a ticket. After he walked back to his car, I rolled up my windows and said, fu to him.

That's the chance you take when you violate the law in public. What % are you fronts? I've had 35% all around for years and never had a problem. I know its illegal to have anything darker than 70% but I figure at 35% I'm not pushing my luck too much. There's always a chance I'll get caught though.

I agree, you break the law and you will probably get caught in Irvine. I live in a single isolated neighborhood with nothing around, yet I see police cars all the time by my house, I wonder sometimes "who are they going to catch way out here?".

Cities and counties make a heck a lot of money off these little violations.

Plus I know cops and they hate tinted windows...because you never know what that person is doing inside the car if their tint is too dark.

Irvine and Costa Mesa police nab lots of DUI drivers by pulling over many people over for small infractions. The Irvine police make no bones about enforcing the law...anybody who lives in the area understands that.

When I get my windows tinted I tell them to use two shades lighter than legal tint. Why? Because someone likes to change the requirements forcing people to strip it off.

Maybe if you gave Barney Fife a box of donuts he may not of ticketed you.Fight the ticket in court & tell the judge it is factory tint. The same thing happened to me yrs ago in central ca & thats what i told the judge. He dismissed the charge.Keep in mind the city needs the revenue so if they could ticket you for farting they would. Just report the donut eating cop at ratemycop.com. RateMyCop.com - Home

You can get a ticket for washing your car on the street in Irvine too. That's because Irvine, CA is a backwaters, racist sh*thole. Sure it's safe: so was nazi Germany.
