Well, it's probably because of the toxic waste seeping under Irvine from the old El Toro Base.

I grew up in Woodbridge, and between my friends and family we've suffered cancer, 2 deaths of men in their 30s, 2 men that needed parts of their intestines removed due to freak GI disorders, thyroid disease, unexplained fibromyalgia type pain.

Apparently Irvine's water supply has been contaminated since before 1985.

It's time to expose the coverup.

And stop drinking the water if you currently live in Irvine.

yea but that stuff is all over the place these days. Mercury being dumped into the oceans at amazing rates. Coal sludge spills (that recent one). Carcinogens in coal being burned. Benzine in gasoline (carcinogen). Lead in paint. Melamine in agriculture pesticides. Fluoride in the water. Aspartame being used as a sweetner. The list goes on and on. If you think the FDA or the government is going to protect you, think again because time and time again they do the exact opposite!

And now it looks like we are starting to hit a point where all these poisons are starting to affect us seriously. For the longest time throughout history we have had a perfect 50:50 male to female ratio. Well, now, it appears that more females are being born than males due to synthetic estrogens in the womb. These anomalies are even more apparant in areas where large petrochemicals are refined.

To make matters even worse, man has made nearly 70,000 synthetic compounds. Most of which we have NO IDEA what effect they have on humans. They are everywhere - plastics, cosmetics, shampoo, fabrics etc. Children are at the greatest risk of these chemicals.

It is no surprise that the amount of birth defects and children born with autism is skyrocketing. Seriously. 10 years ago, autism was VERY rare now it is very common. I wonder why.

Read up on it. The truth is the only thing that will protect you.

Good video on the topic:

That can be said for almost any city/area. Let's be real, s*** happens. I could say in the area I grew up, that has no contaminants, ppl I know have suffered the same types of things you wrote.

I'm on the other side of the "debate" and know that a lot of information on the website you provided is wrong and/or misleading. There are ALWAYS THREE sides to a story. "his, hers, and the truth". In this case, IRWD/NAVY, the ppl on the website, and the truth. I'd say the truth is more in the middle of it all, and the TCE isn't as big a problem as the website is saying. I am in NO WAY saying that it's not toxic, isn't a problem, etc. But please. Before you jump to conclusions that all your health problems are because of TCE in Woodbridge, why not ask if ppl in other cities if they have experienced a lot of "disease" within their neighborhood. I bet you, many have the same story as you, minus TCE. I'd love to see some cold hard facts that Woodbridge has more diseases/cancers/whatevers than a city w/o a TCE issue.

I think of the movie Erin Brokovich. Almost every person in that little town had issues. Does almost every person in Woodbridge have some serious issue that is related to TCE poisoning?

BTW, I also read that up until somewhat recently, no one thought TCE was harmful. No one thought that stuff spilled on the ground, could eventually seep into groundwater. It's like how every year, "they" tell us XYZ is harmful to our health. Then the following year, it's good for us. Then the following year......yeah, you get the point.

Read beyond that website. And you will learn a lot more about the TCE situation and you'll learn more of the "truth". Like I said, it's not that side, nor the other side, but it's somewhere in the middle. It's best to know ALL the facts, on ALL sides, versus assuming one party is right 100%.
