I live in Los Alamitos. It is about 10-15 min from HB depending on traffic, route, etc. It is a small town close to freeways, great school district, 4 miles from beach, safe, but pretty expensive. I have lived here for 12 years and my husband grew up here. Many of his friends still live here which I find weird but good at the same time. I have four kids that have gone through the schools with success. I am not a fan on California but if I have to live here this is where I want to live. Any questions you can PM me.

I'm a resident as well. Born and raised, attended the schools since middle school and my son currently attends elementary here.

And 10-15min sounds about right, depending on where you need to get in HB(which is fairly large covering 4 zip codes).
